Welcome to the Frankfort Fire Protection District. Located in southern
Will County (in the Chicago metropolitan area), the Fire District provides
a variety of services. Our home page is intended to be informative (and
hopefully interesting too). So go ahead, hop on board, and buckle up.
You're now riding with Frankfort Fire....... The Frankfort Fire Protection District is an organization that was formed
more than 115 years ago by a group of dedicated men and women who
were committed to helping each other. Today this tradition still continues within its organization and community, which is located 30 miles
South/West of Chicago, Illinois. The department is a multiversity organization made up of a combined full-time/paid-on-call force. The
department is managing change and growth in a progressive manner. The department is in an area where the southern extension of a major
interstate will finish up (I-355) and in the general area where the discussion of a third airport for the Chicago Metropolitan Area. These
items combined with normal growth and increased activities is moving the department through changes.
Our MissionThe mission of the Frankfort Fire Protection District is to provide a range of programs designed to protect the lives and property of residents of the Fire District from adverse effects of Fire, Sudden Medical Emergencies, or exposures to Dangerous Conditions, created by either man or nature.
