Chief Norman served as Search and Rescue Manager for the WTC operation from September 13th through October 26th. As such, he was senior adviser to the Incident Commander and was intimately involved in the largest single scene disaster in the nation's history. This incident posed many unique challenges of a massive scale to emergency responders. Chief Norman will describe the events as they developed, highlighting areas where the first responders must prepare for future events. Also, Chief Norman will present the Fires In Commercial Occupancies segment. Battalion Chief Jerry Tracy, FDNY, BN49, Former Unit Commander, Squad 18, Instructor FDNY Academy, National author and lecturer. Chief Tracy will present the Private Dwelling segment. Dan Noonan, FDNY (Ret), is currently a Fire Technology Instructor at Miramar College, San Diego, General session, Keynote Speaker, FDIC East and West, Featured Speaker at Firehouse Expo and fire-Rescue-West and a facilitator at Command School, as well as the Training Operations Coordinator for Del Mar, CA, FD. Dan will present the Ventilation segment.
