Baby Sitter Program

Since 1978, the Frankfort Fire Protection District has offered a comprehensive Babysitter/Latch Key Kids program. During the last 26 years, more than 1,300 students have attended this program. This twenty-one hour program is provided one night a week for 7 weeks. This program is targeted for children ages 9 – 11.

The goals of the program are:

  • To promote safety awareness in relationship to life’s day-to-day challenges.
  • To reinforce confidence and responsibility initially for the participants, then also for their siblings and/or children they babysit.
