Retired Flag Collection

Worn, faded, and otherwise unserviceable flags are to have a proper retirement according to law. Flags can be dropped off at the retired flag drop box located neat the main entrance to station 71.   (Underneath the overhang).

Collected flags are then brought to the Frankfort V.F.W.   They are then burned by the V.F.W. during special flag retirement ceremony conducted on Flag Day.  The laws relating to the flag of the United States of America, including its proper disposal, are located in the United States Code (Title 4, Chapter 1).
