Fall Festival Carnival
The carnival is located in the paved lot at the intersection of Kansas Street and White Street. It is planned largely by the Frankfort Fire Protection District Foundation, a nonprofit organization composed of past and present members of the Fire District. The foundation receives the majority of its funding through the proceeds from the Fall Fest Carnival and through private donations. The organization has an ongoing duty to support the Fire District, the Frankfort Fire Cadet Program, the Frankfort Fire Historical Society, and the community protected by the Fire District. This support includes but is not limited to the purchasing of equipment, the enhancing of Firefighter training levels, making donations to benevolent causes, providing scholarship opportunities to Lincoln-Way School Districts, and the sponsoring of activities that fall outside of the Fire District’s charter.
